United States Asks Ships to Avoid Red Sea Strait as Yemen’s Maritime War Intensifies

Following Yemen’s declaration of banning US and UK ships from traveling to the Red Sea, and in the wake of western nations bombing Sana’a in retaliation to Yemen’s pro-Palestine maritime war against the Israeli Regime, the US-led Joint Naval Forces has officially asked all ships to avoid the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea.

The Yemen Armed Forces have also fired an anti-ship ballistic missile and hit the container ship called “M/V Gibraltar Eagle.”

Another six Intertanko oil tankers also cleared from the southern Red Sea on Monday Jan. 14, leading to disruptions for energy shipping as U.S led strikes continue to target the Yemeni Armed Forces in Yemen.
