The Israeli media has reported an unexpected incident that escalated between Israeli soldiers and the Egyptian Army on the border of the Rafah crossing area, claiming that the incident comes at the peak of tensions, stating that the incident “may have significant political consequences.”
According to Israeli sources, Egyptian soldiers fired shots “on their own accord” at Israeli soldiers, claiming that no injuries were reported.
Furthermore, Israeli media stated that Israeli occupation forces responded by firing warning shots and reportedly killing two Egyptian soldiers amidst conflicting reports within Israeli media sources.
The spokesperson of the Israeli occupation forces said an investigation was underway on the cross-border incident, claiming to be in contact with the Egyptian side.
