Iraq Initiates Proposal to Halt Exports of Subsidized Oil to Jordan Due to Airstrikes

Iraq has initiated a proposal to halt the exportation of subsidized oil to Jordan for its participation in US led airstrikes on Iraqi soil.

MP Mustafa Jabbar Sanad said he collected signatures from fellow parliamentarians to issue a resolution amidst allegations that Jordan participated in US airstrikes in Iraq, according to Shafaq News.

On Friday, the US targeted 85 sites across Iraq and Syria, killing more than 16 people. Jordan imports about 95% of its energy needs with Iraq being one of its main suppliers of crude oil.
