Iconic Image by Israeli Photographer of Palestinian Man Being Tortured Goes Viral
A photograph by Israeli photographer Yosee Gamzoo has gone viral on social media, snapped after an armed Israeli occupation officer tortured a stripped, seated and handcuffed Palestinian man.
The image has created an uproar on social media. Netizens have compared the defiant stance of the Palestinian man who is handcuffed, with visible signs of torture and an open gunshot would on his leg, to “Jesus on rhetorical crucifix.”
Others have also likened this photograph to Abu Ghraib and the torture of Iraqis, saying that they too were citing “defending the rules-based international order.”
The Israeli photographer who published this iconic image has been unheard from, and his Instagram account is no longer visible.
