Argentina Refuses to Join BRICS as Scheduled

Argentina’s incoming foreign minister in right-wing Javier Milei’s government has stated that Argentina will not join the BRICS movement.

Mondino, a La Libertad Avanza deputy-elect, said that Milei refused to join the bloc that already had Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa on board.

Argentina was one of the six countries invited to join BRICS at a summit that took place in South Africa earlier this year, which sought to “reshuffle a Western-dominated world order it sees as outdated.”
