US Confirms Plans to Carry Out Joint Hypersonic Missile Tests with Australia in 2024
The United States of America have confirmed plans on holding combined hypersonic missile tests with Australia in 2024.
“We’re already in the process of working very closely with them [Australian Defense Department] to figure out [to] who do we integrate some of our [hypersonics] experimentations in Australia,” Heidi Shyu, Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering said.
She further mentioned that both countries had cemented their partnership since 2023 with tests to be held next year.
Earlier this year, a hypersonic weapon tested by the US armed forces failed.
