University of Alberta Fires Director of Sexual Assault Center After She Signs a Pro-Palestine Letter

The University of Alberta, Canada, has reportedly fired the director of the Sexual Assault Center, Samantha Pearson after she signed a Pro-Palestine letter, which denied false allegations of rape during the October 7th Al-Aqsa Flood operation by the Paletinian Resistance.

The University’s President and Vice-chancellor Bill Flanagan stated the University of Alberta recognizes “the historical and ongoing harms of antisemitism.”

This comes shortly after Samantha Pearson’s signed a letter titled “Stand with Palestine: Call on Political Leaders to End Their Complicity in Genocide,” which directly condemned New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh for repeating “the unverified accusation that Palestinians were guilty of sexual violence.”

The letter started with “We, the undersigned, residing in so-called Canada.” In addition to demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, it also calls on parliamentarians to resign and demand “free all Palestinian prisoners” and “lift its siege on Gaza.”

The Israeli Occupation police even admitted to having no firsthand testimony to any October 7 rapes from any “survivors” and have not even collected any forensic evidence to back up the claims.
