Punjabi Woman Committed Suicide After Enduring Eight Years of Domestic Abuse

“Papa, stop hitting mom!” Mandeep Kaur’s daughters are heard crying in a video that depicts the abuse she endured from her husband, Ranjodhbeer Singh. After eight years of domestic abuse, Kaur committed suicide on August 3rd, 2022.

“I have been suffering him and his beatings, thinking that he will improve someday. But no, he beat me up for eight years,” 30-year-old Mandeep Kaur explains in a video taken a day before she died.

Kaur left behind two daughters, 4 and 6 years old, who are now in custody of their father.

According to TheKaurMovement, the New York Police Department will be investigating the case as a homicide rather than a suicide.
