Norway Joins Spain in Recognizing Palestine as an Independent State
Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store has confirmed that his country “stands ready” to recognize Palestine as an independent State.
This came shortly after a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanches, who is on a quest to convince more European nations to recognize an independent Palestinian state.
“The question is at what moment and in what setting to (recognize Palestine) in order to support the process towards peace in the region. And what this meeting today has made clear is that we stay very closely coordinated between Madrid and Oslo,” Gahr Store said at a joint press conference.
