More than 280 Palestinian Bodies Discovered in a Mass Grave in Khan Younis

Health workers in Gaza have discovered at least 283 bodies of people from a mass grave adjacent to the Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis, as reported by Gaza’s civil defense agency.

“Civil defense crews retrieved 73 more bodies from the mass grave, bringing the total figure to 283 bodies since Saturday,” it said in a statement.

The civil defense crews are still searching for more bodies in the grave.

The mass grave was discovered in the hospital’s courtyard on Saturday April 20, 2024 shortly after the Israeli army withdrew from the city on April 7, after committing mass murders and destroying several homes in the area.

Ismail al-Thawabteh of Gaza’s government media office revealed that around 700 people are still missing since the Israeli army withdrew from the city.

“We believe that there are hundreds of bodies still missing after being executed by the Israeli occupation and buried in mass graves,‘’ he told Anadolu.

One harrowing image of a decomposing body found in the mass grave was wearing what looked like blue medical scrubs while hands were handcuffed.

The Israeli regime has now killed more than 34,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7 2023, while injuring over 77,000. “Israel” has also imposed a crippling blockade on Gaza, leading to a severe shortage of necessities, pushing all of Gaza’s 2.2 million people to the brink of famine.
