Israel Upset at Canada for Halting Arms Shipments after Providing Tel Aviv Billions Worth of Arms Every Year

The “Israeli” regime has condemned Canada’s decision to stop all arms shipments to the occupation entity following growing global outrage over its ongoing brutal war on Gaza that has now killed more than 31,000 people in a span of six months.

According to a Canadian government official, the country is halting sales following “growing international scrutiny over its war in the Gaza Strip.”

“Israel’s” foreign minister who was visibly upset with the decision said it was “regrettable that the Canadian government is taking a step that undermines Israel’s right to self-defense.”

“History will judge Canada’s current action harshly,” he added in a post on X.

Gaza is currently dealing with a humanitarian catastrophe following the “Israeli” regimes’ crippling blockade of food and medical aid, causing a man-made famine and pushing all of Gaza’s 2.2 million citizens to some level of malnutrition with more than 500,000 people in the North of the strip facing severe starvation.

Canada has been providing the “Israeli” regime with billions of dollars worth of military aid every year.

“The situation on the ground makes it so that we can’t export any kind of military equipment,” the Canadian official told western media sources.

US Senator Bernie Sanders hailed Canada’s decision, as he took to X and said, “Given the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, including widespread and growing starvation, the U.S. should not provide another nickel for Netanyahu’s war machine.”

According to Radio Canada, the “Israeli” regime has received C$21 million worth of military material exported to “Israel” in 2022 and C$26 million in shipments in 2021.

This ranks “Israel,” as one of the top 10 recipients of Canadian arms exports.

No exports had been sent since January 2024, the government official added.

The Canadian Parliament has also passed a nonbinding resolution demanding the international community work toward a two-state solution between the occupation entity and the Palestinians.

The issue of arms deliveries to the “Israeli” regime has triggered legal proceedings in a number of countries around the world.
