Israel Kills 40 Palestinians in Targeted UNRWA School Attack

An UNRWA-affiliated school in Gaza has been bombed by the Israeli regime, where thousands of displaced Palestinians are currently seeking shelter. Dozens of innocent civilians have been killed who were sheltering in the upper floors of the school as they slept late into the night.

According to officials, medical and civil defense teams recovered 32 bodies from the rubble of AL-Nusairat Preparatory School, the number was later confirmed to be 40.

“This horrible massacre committed by the Israeli occupation is clear evidence of genocide, ethnic cleansing against civilians, including women and children and displaced people in the Gaza Strip,” Ismail al-Thawabta, spokesman for Gaza’s Government Media Office revealed.

In an obvious attempt to cover up their ongoing war crimes, the Israeli media claimed that it had “eliminated several militants in a precise strike on a Hamas compound embedded inside an UNRWA school in the area of Nuseirat.”

However, a photographer from AFP confirmed Palestinians were seeking shelter in the school and witnessed them extracting blood-stained mattresses from the destruction.

Additionally, an Israeli warplane bombed a house belonging to the Al-Madani family in Nuseirat camp, killing six people while attacking several areas in central Gaza, including areas on the east of Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi camps and the Tal al-Hawa and Zaytoun neighborhoods southwest of Gaza City.

Israeli warplanes and artillery also targeted areas in neighborhoods in eastern and central Rafah as well as the homes east of the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Thursday’s school massacre comes in the wake of a rise of violence from Israeli forces in recent days, before the attack on Nuseirat where Israeli troops murdered at least 102 Palestinians in 24 hours.

The Israeli regime has now killed 36,586 Palestinians and wounded 83,074 in its ongoing onslaught against Gaza. Most of them being women and children.

At least 11,000 people are reported to be missing, feared dead under the rubble of their homes, as Israeli troops have also destroyed a number of equipment used by Gaza’s Rescue teams, further hindering the process of saving thousands trapped underneath the rubble.
