Iran Warns Israel of ‘Nightmare’ in Response to Assasination of Palestinian Resistance Leader in Lebanon
The commander of Iran’s Quds Force has issued a dire warning for the Israeli Regime, calling the threat a “nightmare’’ for the occupation entity, shortly after Israeli forces killed Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Resistance.
Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani spoke of the warning in a letter sent on Sunday Jan.7 to Ism.ail Ha.niyeh, head of the Palestinian Resistance’s political bureau.
“The world will witness how the comrades of Martyr Arouri turn into the nightmare of the child-killing regime,” he wrote.
“Arouri was martyred with a brilliant record in the first al-Aqsa and al-Quds intifadas,” the commander added, referring to three Palestinian uprisings against the Israeli regime over the past years.
Arouri was one of the founders of the Palestinian Resitance’s military wing and was seen as a pivotal figure in the movement, planning its operations in the West Bank from his exile in Syria, Turkey, Qatar and later in Lebanon after serving a long sentence in Israeli Prisons.
Haniyeh also said that “the cowardly assassination of Arouri proved Israel is seeking to evade defeat and cover up its failure in its ongoing genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip.”
