Eight High School Students Arrested for Fatal Beating of Classmate Over Vape Pen and Wireless Headphones

LAS VEGAS– Eight high school students ages 13-17 have been arrested following the fatal beating and on suspicion of murder of a 17-year-old classmate.
Las Vegas police said investigators were still finding more students who participated in the Nov. 1 fight that erupted over a pair of wireless headphones and a vape pen which led to the death of the 17-year-old boy.
The victim, Jonathan Lewis Jr, was hospitalized with a severe “head trauma” and sustained other injuries until he died a week after the fight. The beating has been ruled as a homicide.
