Cairo Threatens to Cancel Ties with Israel if Palestinians are Displaced

Cairo has reportedly threatened to halt or cancel its normalization agreement with the Israeli Regime if the occupation entity forcibly displaced even one Palestinian to Egypt’s Sinai, according to Egyptian media sources.

Israeli Newspapers state that these threats were put across through a number of contacts between senior Egyptian and Israeli officials and were then “communicated to the “entire political-security elite in Israel.”

“If one Palestinian refugee passes (to Egyptian territory), the peace agreement (between the two governments) will be canceled,” one of the warnings said.

According to another source, the cancellation of the agreement was not mentioned, but the source did specify that Cairo would suspend the agreement under the same circumstances.
