Brazil Ceases Ties with Israel, President Compares it to Hitler’s Actions in Nazi Germany

Following the Israeli regime’s ongoing aggression on Gaza that has ki.lled more 28,000 people since Oct. 7, Brazil has officially recalled its ambassador to “Israel” and has simultaneously summoned the Israeli ambassador to the country.

This comes in the wake of the Israeli Foreign Minister announcing that Brazilian President Lula Da Silva was “persona non grata” after he compared Israeli atrocities in Gaza to Hitler’s actions in Nazi Germany.

In an African Union summit in Addis Ababa, the Brazilian President said, “What’s happening in the Gaza Strip isn’t a war, it’s a genocide,” detailing that Israeli troops were not fighting “soldiers against soldiers,” but rather a highly prepared army against “women and children.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz retaliated by labeling Lula’s comments as “antisemitic.”

At a summit at the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt, Lula condemned the United Nations for its failure to stop the ongoing onslaught by the Israeli regime in Gaza.

“Israel’s behavior has no explanation: with the pretext of fighting Ham.as, it is killing women and children,” he said after a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
