Muhammad Ali’s childhood home has now hit the market after being turned into a museum, a rather unusual move for homes belonging to celebrities.
The modest home consisting of two bedrooms and one bathroom in Louisville was put on the market with two neighboring homes, for $1.5 million.
“This is a part of Americana,” said Bochetto, a Philadelphia attorney and former Pennsylvania state boxing commissioner. “This is part of our history. And it needs to be treated and respected as such.”
The late boxer lived in the home when he joined the 1960 olympics, returning as a gold medal winner and launching a career that led him to becoming a three-time heavyweight boxing champion and globetrotting humanitarian, garnering millions of fans from across the globe.
