Biden Administration Staffers Rally Outside White House for Ceasefire

Several administration staffers from US President Joe Biden’s cabinet gathered in front of the White House to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip following the country’s veto on what could have ended the Israeli Regime’s aggression on Gaza

The protest took place in front of the White House on Dec. 13, with employees hailing from diverse administrative levels and various backgrounds within the Biden Administration.

The staffers held a banner reading “President Biden, your staff demands a ceasefire.” Candles were also laid on the ground which spelt out the word ‘’ceasefire.’’

Josh Paul,  a former State Department official who initially resigned from his job following his dispute with the Biden Administration’s approach to war said that the temporary pause that came to a halt two weeks ago in Gaza ‘was never enough.’ He added, “We must move with urgency to save as many lives as possible and achieve an immediate, permanent ceasefire agreement and the return of all hostages.”

The staffers read out the names of the Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since Dec. 1, the day that marked an end to the temporary pause, and even laid roses on the ground in honor of the Palestinian victims.

The Israeli Regime has now killed more than 18,600 Palestinians and wounded more than 42,000 in a span of 68 days, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
