US Police Arrest 70 Pro-Palestine Protesters in San Francisco
US police arrested 70 pro-Palestine demonstrators who were protesting in the lobby of the San Francisco building that houses the Israeli consulate.
According to the Associated Press, Police zip-tied the hands of around 50 people then shoved them into police vans and drove them away. Police later confirmed that 70 protestors were arrested for trespassing after claiming that they refused to vacate the building.
The US has witnessed a massive increase of intense protests against the country’s military and financial support for the Israeli regime against its ongoing onslaught in Gaza that has now killed almost 40,000 Palestinians since Oct 7 2023, while imposing a crippling blockade of aid in Gaza and forcibly starving its people, pushing all of Gaza’s 2.2 million people to the brink of famine.
