Thousands of Moroccans Protest Against Government Ties with Israel

Thousands of Morrocans have flooded the streets in the country’s capital Rabat to call on the government to cease ties with the Israeli Regime as the occupation continues its onslaught against the Gaza Strip, killing over 18,000 people in a span of two months.

On Sunday December 10, 2023, around 3000 participants were seen waving the Palestinian flag and chanting,  “Palestine is not for sale” and “resistance go ahead to victory and liberation.”

The crowds were also heard chanting, “The people want an end to normalization,”

asking the Moroccan government to reverse the country’s United States-facilitated détente with Israel in 2020.

This isn’t the first time Morrocans have taken to the streets to protest against the Zionist Entity, however, Sunday’s March was organized by the opposition Justice and Development Party. This party led Morocco’s elected government from 2011 until 2021.

The protestors further pressed on a boycott for the brands that support the Regime, while heavily criticizing the United States military and political backing for the regime’s genocide in the Gaza Strip.
