The events on October 7, 2023 revealed the extent of the Israeli occupation entity’s intelligence, military and field failure (1). Despite priding itself as having one of the most powerful militaries in the world, it was unable to hatch out the plot infiltrating the 1948 borders and targeting its depth.

The Israeli occupation entity was established in 1948 as a stable military base that was turned into a country to serve as a disciplinary stick for the West. Britain was the former Western superpower that handed Palestine over to the Zionist terrorist groups, with America taking over the helm of leadership after WWII. Since its establishment, the Israeli occupation entity has fought over 14 wars within historic Palestine and the neighboring countries, including Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan. However, the Israeli occupation entity has gone from protecting Western interests to needing Western protection (2).

Nothing can undo the damage of October 7th. The events of that day will have existential repercussions on the Israeli occupation entity moving forward. These include an increase in reverse migration (3), due to the defeat of the settler population’s morale, apprehension to return towards the evacuated settlements (4) and accountability from the West towards the Israeli occupation entity. The reality is that the West relies on a fragile entity to serve its interests.

The Israeli occupation entity cannot defend itself alone. What we are witnessing now is America managing this battle on behalf of the occupation entity.

It quickly sent warships and Delta Forces to the region (5) because of the Israeli occupying entity’s obvious weakness and not solely as a show of alliance. However, despite America quickly jumping in to save the Israeli occupation entity, they have also made it clear that they are not seeking the expansion of this confrontation into a comprehensive war (7), as it is unwilling to fight the battle for a collapsing entity. The top priority on its foreign policy agenda is fighting Russia through its proxy Ukraine (6), in order to preserve its status as a unipolar power in the World. Moreover, it is the strong position of the resistance that is deterring the Israeli occupation entity from entering Gaza (8) or expanding the circle of conflict.

What is American Intervention really about?

American intervention has everything to do with calming tensions and ensuring escalation does not occur while allowing the Israeli occupation entity to satisfy its brutal revenge on Gaza (10) by not calling for a ceasefire. Throughout the battle there have been negative effects on the Israeli occupation entity, but none greater than the defeat of the settler population’s morale, who were under the illusion that they were impenetrably protected by the militarized state. For the Israeli occupation entity, restoring morale is a greater priority than the need to stop the war due to jobs being on hold, settlers fleeing to shelters and the plummeting of the economy (11). The entity is seeking to reverse the defeated settler’s morale through mass killings in Gaza, however that is only a manifestation of the defeat to achieve any military objectives on the ground and will only backfire.

The factors leading America towards de-escalation are its wider regional interests put in jeopardy, such as American bases in Iraq’s Ain Al-Assad and Syria’s Al-Tanf being targeted (12) with missiles from the resistance. In addition, the ally states such as Jordan, UAE, Egypt’s Sisi and Saudi Arabia are under immense pressure (13) as the nations are boiling and the fear of instability is looming, in particular citizens attacking American embassies and the Israeli occupation entity’s embassies in those Arab countries. In such circumstances, America would seek to relieve its allies, who are put in a difficult position of not knowing how to justify why they are not hampering the interests of the criminal occupation.

The reality is that no longer is the Israeli occupation entity the main tool through which the West consolidates its hegemony in the region; it has gone from being a central base to a reserve force, operating as and when America seeks to confront its adversaries such as Iran and Russia.

Even with an entity like Iran, America is going in the direction of eventual compromise (14), since nothing has worked to stop Iran’s development that has overcome 40 years of brutal sanctions (15). On the path of American compromise with Iran, the Israeli occupation entity will lose its functional role as a military base confronting the Western adversaries in the region, soon turning into a liability for Western interests. The West will have no choice but to recognise the power balance on the ground and to deal with the forces of real action that represent the people of the region.

The Israeli occupation entity is a colonial outpost 7.5 decades old and with the evolution of developments and interests, policies must change; the West knows that they can no longer effectively deal with the situation on the basis of old policies. The reality is that for the longest time, the occupation entity seemed strong because there was no force confronting it. However, now there have been forces from various regional nations that have formed and are united under the goal of rejecting American hegemony.

120 countries voted in favor of an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to halt hostilities in Gaza at The United Nations General Assembly.

To counteract such a resistance, the West unleashed other forces such as Daesh to battle as proxy, but this only strengthened the resistance, creating the Hashd in Iraq and granting the Lebanese resistance experience in Syria. To continue agitating these forces will further shoot America in the foot, further dismantling the overarching goal of the US hegemony.

The whole matter of the West standing in support of the Israeli occupation entity is that it is their initiation project. The West is the responsible entity so it seeks to dissolve its own project and to announce its bankruptcy, rather than having the resistance forces in the region tilting the power balance on their hands.

America wishes to directly oversee and manage the next steps regarding the disintegration of the Israeli occupation entity, since if it is outside of the picture during the post occupation phase, the region will be free from US hegemony and will go back to the effective forces of the region. The Israeli occupation entity will be held to account once this confrontation ends, whereas now the West are seeking to end this confrontation with the least damage to their interests.

The reality is that politics is not based on good or bad intentions. The world runs on power and ability, and the West cannot rely on a fragile entity that is hampering its wider interest. The time has come for the West to deal with the real effective forces on the ground, to atone for its sins, abandon its arrogance and turn away from sponsoring aggression. The Israeli occupation entity cannot function except by relying on Western guarantees.

"The time has come for the West to deal with the real effective forces on the ground, to atone for its sins, abandon its arrogance and turn away from sponsoring aggression."
