Iran and Pakistan Restore Diplomatic Ties in Coordination to Combat Terrorism

Iran and Pakistan have resumed diplomatic relations a day after Iran coordinated a specific targeted attack on a base to combat terrorism.

According to the decision of the National Security Committee of Pakistan, the country restored all ties with Iran and the ambassadors of both countries will be sent to one another’s capitals.

Both countries agreed that cooperation at the working level and close coordination in the field of counter-terrorism should be strengthened. Pakistan’s Ministry of foreign affairs also noted that “territorial integrity and sovereignty should be the basis of bilateral cooperation.”
