Hill Harper was Offered $20 Million to Run Against Palestinian- American Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib

In a series of reported anti-Palestinian rhetoric, a Senator in Michigan was reportedly offered $20 million in campaign donations to run against the only Palestinian-American Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib.

Harper later took to social media on Wednesday November 22, 2023 saying that he “won’t be bossed, bullied or bought” to run against the only Palestinian-American in Congress for a “special interests” group.

“I’m not just running for the title. I’m not going to run against the only Palestinian-American in Congress just because some special interests don’t like her,” he wrote on X.

“I’m running because I want to break the stranglehold wealthy special interests have on our politics, whether it’s the Israel lobby, the NRA or Big Pharma.”

He further mentioned that the donor, Linden Nelson, is one of AIPAC’s (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) staunch advocates, a claim the Israel lobby group denied.

AIPAC said Nelson hadn’t donated to the organization in years, but later mentioned that he was a frequent attendee to their events.

Tlaib is expected to face a turbulent 2024 race, considering her support for Palestinian within the American government.

AIPAC, with its political action committees (PACs), has been gearing to oust progressive members of Congress.

Reports circulated earlier this month that AIPAC is gearing to splurge a whopping $100 million in Democratic primaries, to predominantly help in defeating progressives who have supported Palestine.

Tlaib, however, has been receiving support since her censure, encouraged further by members of Congress and the public who have demonstrated appreciation for the “senate candidate’s refusal to run against her.”
