Friend Says Aaron Bushnell Had Access to Secret Information About US Troops Fighting for Israel in Gaza

According to New York Post, Aaron Bushnell, the airman who lost his life while protesting against the Israeli regime’s ongoing onslaught in Gaza, had secret information of US troops fighting in tunnels under Gaza.

Hours before setting himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C, Bushnell declared that he would “no longer be complicit in genocide.”

The 25-year-old airman who served in the Air Force’s 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, revealed that he had “top secret clearance” for military intelligence data in a call to his friend a day before he died.

“He told me on Saturday that we have troops in those tunnels, that it’s US soldiers participating in the killings,’’ Bushnell’s friend said

“One of the things he told me… the US military was involved in the genocides going on in Palestine,’’ the friend said, referring to Israel’s aggression on Gaza that has ki-llrd nearly 30,000 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023.

“He told me that we had troops on the ground, you know, that were there and were killing large numbers of Palestinians.”

“There’s just too many things I don’t know, but I can tell you that the tone of his voice just had something in it that told me he was scared,’’ the friend added.

Despite the US repeatedly claiming that it would not put US troops in Gaza, US special operations forces have been deployed since Oct. 7 in a quest to “identify hostages, including American hostages,” who were captured by the Palestinian Resistance.

Special forces were also allegedly stationed in Gaza, working in tandem with Israeli troops who were responsible for capturing soldiers of the Palestinian Resistance from network tunnels that are yet to be revealed.

The Air Force confirmed Bushnell’s title was Innovation Services Technician, but did not provide details on what security clearance he had.

“He’s had a security clearance for four years now, and it is the only time that he has ever, as far as I know, broke protocol and gave out information that he shouldn’t have,’’ Bushnell’s friend said.

The New Yorker also reported that Bushnell wrote a will in which he left his savings to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
