Food Insecurity in the US Nearly Doubles, Affecting One in Ten People

Food insecurity in the US has soared from 12.5% in 1999-2003 to up to 23.1% between 2015-2019.

According to a report, food insecurity in the US is compelling some families to choose between paying rent or bringing food to the table. 

One in 10 people in the U.S are currently facing hunger with more than 1.2 million people, including over 315,000 children, struggling with food insecurity.
