Ayatollah Khamenei Calls Upon Muslims to Show Full Support for Palestine in this Year’s Hajj Message

In his annual Hajj message, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei has called upon all Muslim pilgrims undertaking Hajj to show full support for Gaza, using Hajj as an opportunity for “renunciation of the Zionist regime and its supporters, in particular the US, in words and actions.”

While praising the “ironclad resistance of Palestine and the patient, oppressed people of Gaza,” Ayatollah Khamenei declared that this year renunciation is “more significant than ever before” due to the tragic circumstances that have unfolded in Gaza, calling them “unparalleled in our contemporary history.”

Around two million Muslims from all over the world are participating in the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca this year.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman described this year’s Hajj pilgrimage as “a practice of jihad” amid the occupying regime’s ongoing war against the besieged Gaza Strip.
