Annie Lennox Calls for Ceasefire at the Grammys, Fails to Mention Gaza
Musician Annie Lennox has implied a call for a ceasefire in Gaza during a performance at the Grammys, receiving both praise and criticism for her stand.
In the wake of almost 30,000 Palestinians killed, some have hailed Lennox for standing up for Palestine while others criticized her for staying silent for too long and for failing to mention Gaza in her statement.
Other attendees visibly displayed their support for Palestine such as singer Esperanza Spalding, who wore a Palestinian keffiyeh.
Members of the pop-indie group Boygenius were spotted with red pins that allegedly represent the ‘Artists Call for Ceasefire Now movement.!’
