Yemen’s “Palestine 2” Ballistic Missile Reaches Tel Aviv
On Sept. 15, the Zionist entity awoke to a ballistic missile attack targeting the city of Tel Aviv, occupied Yafa.
The ballistic missile, named “Palestine 2” by the Yemeni Armed Forces, reached its target successfully after bypassing Israeli defense systems.
A statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces read, “Triumphing for the oppression of the Palestinian people and their Mujahideen, the missile force in the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a specific military operation of which it targeted a military target of the Israeli enemy in the Yafa area in occupied Palestine.”
Shrapnel from Israeli air defense missiles impacted on sensitive infrastructure, such as the train station on the outskirts of Modiin, some 25 kilometers east of Tel Aviv.
Over 2 million Israelis rushed to shelters at once, an event unprecedented in the history of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Yemen with an Israeli response.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin posted that the U.S. had reinforced its commitment to Israel’s security and its right to defend itself.
Details of the Operation
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that the operation came within the fifth round of military escalation against Israel and in support of Gaza.
This follows the fourth round of escalation announced last May, which included targeting all ships that violated the Yemeni decision of banning Israeli navigation and ships headed to Israeli ports in the Mediterranean Sea.
The fourth phase also involved imposing comprehensive sanctions on all ships and companies linked to Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality. This was to be implemented if the Israeli Army began its offensive military operation against Rafah.
Following Israel’s military operation in Rafah, Yemen implemented its phase four operations.
Yemen’s New Hypersonic Ballistic Missile
The Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed that their most recent operation succeeded, and that they will continue efforts in support of Gaza despite geographical challenges, Western aggression, and the monitoring, espionage, and interception systems targeting them.
“Palestine 2” was developed by the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces with several objectives in mind.
First, there was a need to develop technology capable of adequately responding to the needs of the battlefield against Israel.
The missile also had to bypass all defense and interception systems in place.
The hypersonic ballistic missile crossed a distance of 2,040 km in 11.5 minutes.
It has a range of 2,150 km and operates with solid fuel in two stages. The missile also features stealth technology and can reach speeds of up to Mach 16.
According to Ansarullah’s media unit, “Palestine 2” is also highly maneuverable and capable of bypassing the latest and most developed air defense systems in the world, including the Iron Dome.
Yemen’s Stance for Palestine
Al-Qassam’s Abu Obeidah praised the Yemeni qualitative operation, saying, “We also appreciate the stance of the dear Yemeni people alongside their brothers in Palestine and their readiness to make sacrifices for this purpose.”
Ansarullah leader Abdel-Malek Badreddine al-Houthi assured that the Yemeni people are steadfast in their support for Gaza.
He added that “our operations will resume as long as the aggression and siege on Gaza continue. We are firm in the stance we have taken, and will continue to fight until Palestine is freed from the grip of the occupation.”
He also mentioned that Yemen continues to coordinate with the Resistance Axis, and promised the Zionist entity that the worst is yet to come.
Yemen’s latest operation against Israel was in line with its support for Gaza, but leaders suggest that the response to Israel’s attack on Yemen’s Hodeidah last July is yet to come.
