Trump’s Suspected Shooter Identified As a 20-Year-Old Republican
The FBI has declared that the suspected gunman in the alleged assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump was a 20-year-old man named Thomas Mathew Crooks.
The suspect was killed at the scene by the Secret Service just seconds after he presumably fired shots where Trump was speaking at a rally.
According to state voter records, Crooks was a registered Republican. The upcoming presidential elections would have been the first time he was old enough to vote in.
While Trump escaped with only a minor injury to his ear, a 50-year-old former firefighter died as a result of the firing. He allegedly moved to protect his wife and two daughters when the gunshots were heard at the rally.
Two other people were injured and are currently being treated at a local hospital, reportedly in stable condition.
