Trump Picks Senator JD Vance as Running Mate for 2024 Presidential Race

Donald Trump has selected Republican Senator JD Vance, a former harsh critic of his and now loyal ally, as his Vice President for the 2024 US presidential race. 

“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump said.

Trump claimed that Vance’s campaign efforts will focus on workers and farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Minnesota.

This comes in the wake of the Republican National Convention where delegates from 56 states in the US are expected to confirm Trump and Vance as the upcoming leaders of the country. 

Several speakers such as Trump Jr., model Amber Rose, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and UFC chief Dana White, will be addressing the event. 

The Democratic Party’s national convention will take place between August 19-22 in Chicago.
